i'm looking at changing my car to a 308 but my husband has been told that they have an extra tank that is used to clean the system out and it has to be refilled at 60.000 and it cost £350 and can only be done by peugeot is this right

Ah, you mean an eolys tank that was required for the partculate filter! I think it was used by PSA (Citroen and Peugeot) between 2003 and 2008(?). I think the 308 uses a conventional DPF which does not require eolys.
