Must admit I cringe at the number of people who still say "I got a fantastic deal, they gave me £3,000 for mine and the book value is only £2,500".

Most of what's described in the feature is correct .

However it appears to be between 5 and 10 years since it was written .

Two points are incorrect .

Car dealers can't reclaim road fund tax on part exchange cars .only the registered keeper can do that.

Theirs a suggestion that main dealers sell cars to other traders ,that's not been happening for many years ,most main dealers sell their unwanted stock/ part exchanges via auctions .

The other slight reservation I have with the site is that is that it's ultimate aim is to encourage potential sellers ,to advertise cars for sale on their website .

I found the advice quite interesting and useful, though I note there's no mention of the 'other aspect' of dealer behaviour that some of us here have experienced - why they ignore you, seem disinterested in selling a car, lack of knowledge of the product (cars, not finance) etc.
