Safety checks revealed a problem which can cause the water pump to fail, potentially causing the car to overheat.

Am I being thick? [yes-Ed] How does a failed waterpump cause a fire to start?? I suppose it's a fancy electric one and a current surge could cause the motor to burn out. Hardly the same thing as the car catching fire from an overheated engine though!
