Amendment to TSGD - RT

Man - that's heavy - and I only got part way.

Am I correct that one of the changes is that uniformed Highways Agency traffic officers now have the same powers as uniformed police officers?

Amendment to TSGD - Armitage Shanks {p}

I didn't get far but I did find this

“prohibition or speed limit” in both places where it occurs, substitute “prohibition, speed limit or advised maximum speed”.

This may mean that advisory speed limits are enforceable ie a speed advisory but without a red circle round the number may be a legally enforceable limit?

Amendment to TSGD - SlidingPillar

Jolly dangerous if it is.

Late on Saturday nights, they often post 'advisory speed limits' on the M25 as you approach night time road works. While the advised speed is usually right for the roadworks, the signs appear before them on a clear road, and if you really did 30mph on an otherwise clear motorway you are asking to get rammed in the back.
