just heard a rumour that audi are recalling diesels for the problem injector issue. can anyone cofirm and is it extended to all vag motors?

On the legal forum someone has a kia picanto with a crankshaft bolt, and 4 none existant replies. HJ must write 100 lines or no christmas dinner.. I promise to make the forum work perfectly. merry christmas all.

I've just posted the following on the legal thread in question:

I can see all the posts perfectly using Google Chrome, but found the same as above using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

I do recommend using Google Chrome - or anything other than Microsoft - to access the forum.

Yes,all Vag models with the 2.0 Tdi engine from around 2005 fitted with Siemens peizo injectors are subject to the recall which involves replacing all the injectors foc.Job takes around 3 hours.A short circuit within the injectors causes the fuel system to shut down and engine cuts out.hth

Is the recall only for the 170PS engine? I have a 140PS and have not received any notification.
