AFAIK the 2.0 Ecotec engines use multi-electrode plugs which aren't adjustable.

If it's a standard car for road use, any branded plug of the CORRECT specification will be fine - most outlets have reference charts.

Buy the plugs from Vauxhall only ! best advice.

The reason is that many other manufactures plugs have different resistance values which can cause electrical noise under the bonnet of a Vectra triggering off random AFM and Cam sensor faults, and many other issues! has to be seen to be belived.

Someone will come along in a min & say they have used x plugs for years no problem.

My advice from when i used to work in a vauxhall dealer is use Vauxhall plugs.

Why would a Vauxhall dealer tell you otherwise?

In 20+ years of Vauxhall ownership, I never used their branded plugs - but never had any problem.

"Why would a Vauxhall dealer tell you otherwise?"

Simple I'm not a vauxhall dealer but when working in one I have had to fix plenty where just a set of the correct plugs fixed all sorts of issue's.

I also owned an auto electrical & diagnostic centre for many years and many a problem can be caused just by plugs ! especially peugeot ford & Vauxhall.

You obviously didnt read my post as to the resons why !

3 classic examples

Vauxhall senator 3.0 auto Changing from top to 3rd on a motor way at speed, cause " electrical noise in auto loom caused by Champion spark plugs with too high resistance. This was known issue with a factory TSB

Ford Escort 1.4 CVH's SFI unkwon random stalling issue & random engine codes, cause Champion plugs & lead set

Vectra 2.0 error codes relating to AFM & Cam sesnor messages, random stalling, no fault found. Cause spark plugs with too high resistance causing excess electricl noise causing random error codes & cam sensor error messages

peugeot 306 1.4 Failing MOT on emmissions, Known fault, TSB raised fit Peugeot plugs

Waste of time advising people on here because there's always someone who knows better , when little knowledge is more dangerous than none !

It's a forum, there has to be room for more than one view - mine is as stated, based on ownership of the cars and paying the bills - all alternate views are welcome.

Many issues have more than one right answer.
