Hi there,
Not long ago I bought a Nissan Almera. It's high mileage (157k) and got it for £250 so if I cant get this annoying problem sorted I wont sweat much for the money I payed.
The last couple of weeks I've noticed quite an alarming shake at high speed, passed 55mph with foot down the car shakes quite violently. But as soon as I've reached my desired speed ie. 70mph and ease off a bit, the car stops shaking and its all fine. But when I speed up again or reach a hill where I need to put my foot down again the shaking starts.
My first thought that the wheels need sorting, so got them balanced on all 4 and had the allignent done. No difference whatsoever.
Interesting thing is the steering wheel itself doesn't actually shake, that stays smooth and the car doesn't pull to the side. It's just the rest of the car shakes. Someone mentioned it could be a problem with the anti-roll bar...
If anyone could shed some light on this I would very much appreciate it.
