Audi A6 2.7T Avant 2004 Quattro - 'Clonking' noise from front wheel..... - Mil1194

......when turning to the left (around a corner) and the ESP/ABS kicking in. It is annoying and have had two good mechanics have a look and found nothing wrong. They can drive it and see/feel the problem but no sense otherwise. I have tried VAG-COM today to see if that picks up and problems but not in that area!

Any ideas before I start spending proper money?

I would have a stab by saying that assuming they have checked all of the steering links and rods, the fault area may be in the area on the hub/wheel bearing region as this is where the ABS sensors would be and what could cause ESP/ABS to trigger. I would look at this next.
