Ford Mondeo TDCi 2004 - Engine will not switch off (other problems too) - Monaghan
1. Alarm sounded at 4am this morning - no signs of any forced entry etc
2. Went to check car at 8am - button on key would not unlock car
3. Used key in door lock instead
4. Found dashboard lights (ignition etc) on - even though key not inserted
5. Car would not start
6. Disconnected battery to reset
7. Reconnected battery, engine started first time
8. Engine would not switch off - keeps running even when key is removed!
9. Had to stall engine in order to switch off
10. Car will not lock using the button on the key, need to use the key itself

Would appreciate any thoughts from you knowledgeable people out there.

sounds like either the BCM or PCM has got its nickers in a knott.

I have seen this before with Mondeo's sometimes after a diagnostic kit has been plugged in. They normally reset themsleves.
