Saab 900 - On the edge - 475TBJ

I can smell a repeat of the Rover episode. Still, I don't expect the Chinese will get the name. Shame on GM for stuffing up Saab. I think Saab could have become a Swedish Morgan making the old 900, by hand to order, which it was before the GM based 900.

How very sad if that happens, as seems likely. Saabs were good cars once: GM have a perverse 'genius' for stifling any flair or individuality out of any company owned by them.

For some time now there hasn't been a good reason to choose a Saab over its competitors except brand loiyalty - and that has been tested and strained for many owners.

It would be a shame but its hardly surprising, Saab make good cars but its difficult to make a case for buying them now with the competition.

GM also foisted the corporate parts bin on SAAB, resulting in a catastrophic drop in reliability, especially electrics.

So they moved from selling highly original and bulletproof vehicles to bland "me too" products with more gremlins than a B17 after its third mission tour.....
