just test drove an 05 saab 9-3 1.9 tid , gear change felt very tight , is this normal for saab's or something untoward?

had few saabs, all petrols and all aero"s saab gearboxes have all been good up until they introduced the six speed geerbox,on early sport saloon"s then they had problems with gear changes coming down the gears which where very notchy or very tight.most owner"s i"ve spoken to have said the same.
