Well mosquito's arent particularly a problem here but a normal thick insect screen could easily be adapted to do that job. Just get a big square piece of insect screen and glue a magnetic strip around all four sides and bingo.

We have a product called windowsox on our car - www.windowsox.co.uk

It's sold as a sunshade but it also acts as an insect screen when the window is open. They are made to fit the majority of cars on the UK market, and fit over the top of the door.

I like the diy approach - for both - do you mean using magnetic strip like this?

Window Sox is a good idea, thanks, primarily for shade. Two layers of mesh on a stationary window would reduce the amount of air getting through.

(I've noticed that products costing a few dollars in the USA and Australia cost approx three times as much in the Uk)

Link just takes me to the categories page but i mean just a long strip maybe an inch thick with magnet on one side and either blank on the other to glue it or peel-off-sticky-back-thingmejig would be even better.

And yes by the time something from the US or Aus gets over here with forms filled out it tends to cost three times more. Same goes for cars as im sure you know.

Thanks again. The link was for magnetic tape with one sticky side.

I was referring to equivalent products rather than imports.
