The Golf V5 was a lovely car: I always wished I'd have one, but they stopped doing the V5 as an estate when I was in the market for one 10 years ago.

A fine example of a big unstressed engine in a smallish body: as it's got full service history (check that out), 111.000 miles in 11 years is about right, and it should have some life left in it. If there's nothing obviously wrong with it after a test drive, I'd go for it if I were you.

If you can live with the costs it looks good equally I would suggest a BMW 328i but to be honest don't know whether you could get one at this price. No doubt someone else will know.
