Unknown! - Can anyone identify this car's rear light?! - Matt

A friend of mine has bought the car in the photo below but will not tell us what it is yet (for another 7 weeks until he's back from working in Singapore). I know nothing about it apart from that it will be pretty special - he says it's his "best" yet and he's owned a Cobra, a Jensen Interceptor, 240Zs, TVR Cerbera etc etc.

Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Please advise if you cannot see the photo for any reason!

I have absolutely no idea how to access the photo, as what you have quoted is clearly not a live link, nor web page/address. Or maybe I'm just being thick.

Judging by the "clues" about it being special etc, and also digging into my memory, but I think it looks Italian. No real justifcation for saying so.

So maybe it's an old Maserati, Lambourghini, Ferrari etc.

Must be careful that the suspense doesn't get too much!

Bora-isn't that a rather dull VW?!

Those lights are not the same at all Ethan, but good guess. I think the design does put a date on the era of the car though.

Good effort with the Maserati Bora Ethan - I think you might have got the make right however, I think it might actually be a Maserati Khamsin -

Nice but you can't get the dog and the Mrs in there. Plus you can't leave it anywhere, drive over road humps without scraping it, use multi storey car parks etc. Useless as a car as far as I can see.

Make a nice paperweight though.
