Ford KA 2002 - Headight warning buzzer isn't working - Juliek1313

Hi guys.

The warning buzzer that normally comes on when you open your drivers door with the lights on has stopped working, I've googled like mad but can't find any answer to what the problem could be. It stopped working at the same time as the interior lights for the drivers door. (the lights still come on when you open the passenger door) I'm assuming they are connected but don't know how. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like the pin switch for the drivers door isn't working. Can't recall if it's externally mounted on the A pillar or integral with the door stay or door lock mechanism.

If it mounted on the A pillar then its usually only held in place with one screw. Undo, extract switch from the hole, and check the wire(s) is still attached. If it is, then the switch will just need cleaning or replacing.
