Ford Focus - Ford Focus 1.6 2007 - jl45

Handbook says I must use oil which meets WSS-M2C913-B, where can i see the definition of this specification?

Im a bit confused as the man at the garage consulted a chart whcih said i needed a part synthetic oil however I checked another website this morning which said I should get a fully synthetic oil.

Confused :-/

Clearly states that it

  • Meets Fords WSS-M2C-913-C, WSS-M2C-913-B,WSS-M2C-913-A

    • Castrol Magnatec5W-30 though personally I reckon it's only needed if your going to extend your service intervals beyond the recommended period/ miles.

    Thanks I had bought some from the garage this am on advice from the store attendents book but wasnt convinced it was the right sort as was thinking about returning it. However on inspection of the bottle it clearly states it meets WSS-M2C-913-B so panic over :)
