Vauxhall Astra F - Astra F (97 P) Roof Rack Question - Philflies

I am looking for a roof rack or roof bars for a 3 door Astra hatch (1997).

Found one for sale (used, online) which is off a V-reg Astra (Astra G) will it fit? Does it soley rely on the roof rail slots? Are they the same between those models?

As a plan B, there are various universal roofracks/bars out there but they often rely on hooking onto door frames, but I have a 3 door Astra, therefore no rear door frame! Can anyone reccomend a universal one that will fit?

It is to carry two canoes.
