I haven't come across these people, but I think after market warranties fall into 2 categories : ridiculously expensive but okay and amazingly cheap but with more holes than a Swiss cheese.
Only emmenthaler has holes, the rest are ok. Our warranties in switzerland stopped when the garage had felt it had spent enough on remedial work! At an Opel dealer in the 80's used cars older than the 1 year manufacturer warranty period were sold with a warranty that had a £80 (at that time) excess!
The Uk motor industry has nothing to teach europe when it comes to warranty terms and conditions.
If a car is young enough to qualify, I would always recommend paying for the continuation of the manufacturers warranty. personally next time it will be a certain korean make with a 7 year warranty or the vauxhall warranty for life,
Final point, anyone tried negotiating for a discount on a used car in europe recently, (not relevant to this threadt i know)
