SAAB 9-3 - flywheel - MJSparky

93 Tid 2006.

Apparently my flywheel needs replacing is my car judders when out of gear but goes when i press the clutch.

Anyone have any idea of an estimate of the cost?

If it is anything like my 1.9 Diesel Fiat Stilo, where it was recommended to do the clutch and DMF at the same time it'll leave you no change from £1000. That's why I believe diesels are not the 'economical' cars we are lead to believe......economy yes, but running costs.......I don't think so.

DMF 's are fitted to most cars both petrol and diesel Mercedes have been using them for years with no problems ,the DMF fitted to the Saab/Opel/Vauxhall/Fiat/Alfa are all the same and around 2006 to 2008 they seem to have had a problem with the product.Many cars with simple clutch problems are diagnosed as having a DMF problem a money earner for garages when really its only the plate that is worn.
