any - Are you satisfied, and is she who must be obeyed - oldroverboy

Reading through various forums, am a member of several chevrolet forums and avidly read the mg rover forums, (can't quite face buying a "6" yet....)

How many of us are actually satisfied with our car once the first impressions wear off or we get the first scratch or bill?

Just curious.

Generally, yes.

Lots of research goes into our choices, and they are bought for a purpose, rarely do they disappoint.

SWM does have a creative flair, clothes was her line for many years, so i tend to rely on her pleasure in the looks of a car, she's usually right too and she avoids current fads and fashions in everything, preferring the slightly unusual, it works.

I had my last car for 7 years, and would still have had it, but moved abroad.

The one before, 3 years, but, me getting older, had problems getting in and out. I.m 66.

Our car is a mobility car and we will be changing in two years. Its a Focus and she picked the car when we had a look. The engine is fine 1.6 TDCI.Ilook after the car keep it polished and clean.Nothing else to do really.First service due in about September. This car is light years away when I had the old Beetles top speed 70mph.I always had to tinker to keep them on the road which I enjoyed.

Time moves on :)

I haven't much liked any of the 26 I have owned and am so disillusioned I will probably not buy any more. The only car I really liked was one provided by my company, an armoured Jeep.
