Chrysler Grand Voyager - Total noob question - dmg195

Hi, I am attempting to service my Grand Voyager, being a total noob I decided to start with the air filter thinking it would be easiest. I have got the old one out and new one in, but the cover has a plastic hinge on one side and two metal sping clips on the other. For the life of me I can't get these spring clips back on. I tried putting them on first then trying to get the other side of the case onto the plastic clips but no joy. Am I missing something, is there a special method or tool for getting these metal clips back on or is it just that you need brute force and I'm a weed ?!

I suspect the lid only goes on one way and there's a cut out for it to slot into, or the filter you have is too thick.

Sussed - the cover wasn't completely on, on the clip side. It needed a bit of smacking into place then the clips went on OK.

Done the 3 front spark plugs, think I'm going to get a garage to do the back 3 as looking online you have to take half the b***** engine off to do !

Oil/filter change later tonight - looks like that will be the easiest bit as the filter's easily accessible from underneath, that's always assuming I can get it off though.

Don't give in take the engine to bits and fit the others the garage will only make it worth there while as they lost out on the service. :-)
