vauxhall vectra c - fault code - frogmarch

hi my vectra c on 53 plate diesel 2.0 has the spanner light on when you start up and goes out after a few seconds , i put my autel diagnostic machine on it and comes up with code p 1483 , refer to owners service manual , i hope some one can help me thanks

Try the cooling fan relay,aparently its faulty acording to the book hth

This is common when one or more 'Glow plugs' are not working.After starting,a few revs put the light out. Cheap enough to fix (4 new glow plugs).

Beware of the old ones being rusted in and snapping during removal. Best to spray with WD40 and leave overnight before attempting !

i have looked at glowplugs and they look like new , butr will take them out and have a proper look thanks

Looking at the glow plugs wont tell you anything ! That's a bit like looking at a duff battery, it will look all right - but it wont work ! You can check your glow plugs quite easily - Google a search. They will glow red if they are OK.

This a good trusted one.
