I asked this Question because my friend hasnt got a computer

2001 Renault Megane Coupe Dynamique + 1.6 litre - 16 valve'

My friends car was running rough

management light was showing on his dash

?As he lives miles away from any garage

?He had to call out a mobile mechanic ( luck was on his side he had a set of coils on board his van )?

?So he had the ECU checked ( the result was to replace the all 4 coils )

?BUT WITH THE BASIC DIANOSTIC MACHINE

THE MECHINIC HAD COULD ONLY READ FAULTS -

IT DID NOT HAVE THE RESET MODE ON HIS UNIT

Which he changed - He had New ones Fitted-

Now the car runs very well and back to normal With no other problems.

QUESTION'S

?Now he has had his car Fixed - New Coils fitted All is Well

?But the engine manage light is still showing on his dash

?as he lives miles away from any garage

Will he be able to ? still Drive his car with the engine management light still showing ( Will it be safe to Drive)

?Is there a way he can reset his own ECU
