any - TESCO cars - justadriver

I see that from today you can shop online from tescocars.com. All the blurb said that dealers would have reason to be worried. Don't think so,prices don't seem to be any better than any of the car supermarkets, and all you'll get is a lousy 2000 clubcard points. plus you'll have to go to birmingham to collect it or pay for delivery. Shame, thought april 1st was last week.

Just looked at the website and Ido n't get it - where do they get their cars from?

£12,500 for a 36,000 miles Focus 1.6TDCi - a colleague has just bought a new one for that price.

only the trade will buy cars sight unseen. i certainly wouldn't touch anything motability after seeing how my 77 year old brother drives his cars. Last one was an astra 1.3cdti that he had misfuelled as well! "these are ex#lease and motability cars" NOT worth having if not coming via main dealer, and getting some manufacturers warranty. Bargepoles come to mind. Prices way too high as well. a certain car supermarket has them cheaper in the case of the insignias and the focuses. sorry mr cohen, bad call!

Untrue. I wouldn't buy unseen but plenty of private buyers do

? i certainly wouldn't touch anything motability

Again plenty would & in this case so would I. They are generally well maintained, low mileage 3 year old cars.

My concern as a private buyer would be that I am buying privately & not via a dealer hence Sale Of Goods Act would not apply.

The RAC 1 month waranty is pretty useless as most failures occurring within 30 days would be deemed to be pre-existing (& so excluded). Although given the RAC inspection perhaps this clause would not apply????

It's obviously a broker service rather than car sales & as such I'm unsure it will work; but this is Tesco, the buyers are the GBP & so who knows? I certainly wouldn't like to bet against it
