VAG 2.0 PDs in other applications

VAG 2.0 PDs in other applications - SteveLee
Has anyone heard of the oil pump drive failure issues common with these engine in the versions sold to other manufacturers? i.e. The Jeep Patriot, Dodge Caliber, Mitsubishi Outlander.
