I used to do RTV trials when I had my old Land Rover 90.

It was great fun and we sometimes got stuck but the quagmire in the video looks like somewhere you'd only take your Land Rover if you were expecting to get stuck! Not the sort of thing someone should try on their own, miles from help.

What brings Land Rovers to a slitheing halt is mud of a such consistency that it sticks in the treads and effectively turns the tyres into slicks that will spin on the soft mud beneath.

The downside is having to clean all the mud off your Land Rover the next day, and then having to get rid of all the mud off your drive.
