Vauxhall Corsa Comfort 01 y plate - crankshaft position sensor - joewright

follow up from previous request for help. i followed instructions from several people, and today the new sensor is fitted ( having realised lefthand side is viewed from sitting in the car!!!! and not stood in front of the car) i would like to thank all who took the time to help .help with the error codes were spot on,once again CHEERS

i was thinking that the post you have just answered too, was my way of saying thankyou to yourself and others. i am very grateful to you all , the problem was fixed today, lights gone off the dash, 100% fine, sorry if i didnt come across as grateful. p.s having brought up codes p0335 =crankshaft sensor incorrect signal/ also p0335=crankshaft sensor open circuit./ an error code came up 1616=wrong vehicle I.D from instrument control module c-40 . does this mean anything to you once again thanks

It would appear that the impedance and output of the CPS were bouncing around to cause those messages. The ID may have been the C40 coms crashing due to the total loss of signal whilst cranking, unsure on that one. Glad it is fixed though. Regards Peter

thanks for your help peter it is very much appreciated, the car is actually my grandaughters who has come too live with us while attending uni. at sheffield (on her behalf a very big thanks ) this kindness restors my faith in human nature. thanks to all who helped p.s. any plumbing problems and I might be able to help.
