Volkswagen Passat - gearbox - aussieunder

Hello there could someone tell me,what problems will i have if any.

i need a HNV code gearbox for a 55 plate passat, but someone has said i could get around this by using a FHN code gearbox.any help would be great

On the label, eaither in the service book or the spare wheel bay is a label and the main codes are the engine and the gearbox. Post up the engine code. Regards Peter

No. It will be like AUK of BDW. It is opposite the gearbox code. The smaller codes are all the build options for the car. Regards Peter

The engine code (left) and gear box code (right) are most probable the fourth line down under the power output line. Regards Peter

hello peter. it has HNV then LC9X. Doe that mean it has to be a Hnv code box ?

The engine code, as I have already stated is on the LHS of the label to the lst of the gearbox code. It is just 3 letters and may have 3 or 4 dashes in front of it. It is the same font and size as the gearbox code. Regards Peter
