What is the best medium for selling a car? - Tommk4
I plan to sell my mk1 focus saloon in the next few weeks and I would like to know from those who have experience of selling cars through different mediums, which they think is best, that is, sells a car with the least hassle and for the highest price (If there is any difference).

I was thinking either, eBay, autotrader, pistonheads or a local paper.

I have used eBay before but from my experience you get 30 time wasters for every 1 genuine potential buyer. Are the others any different?

Thanks in advance. T

The least hassle is part exchange for a new car.I used to sell my cars private local add in the paper.Price the car for what its worth condition mileage and service history.Maybe other backroomers have more experience with autotrader ebay etc.

Okay thanks for that. But I should add that part ex is not an option in this case as I am not replacing the car. Neither is the annoyingly advertised webuyanycar, I tried them and they might as well have offered me a bag of peanuts!
