Renault Megane II - Central locking - mikeymike

Hi there, central locking button/sensors on drivers side front and rear have stopped working. Megane MK2 '05 plate,

(This has the IR sensor behind the handle that senses your hand before you operate the handle).

Usually press the little button on the handle to lock it but can only do that on the passenger side, then it all locks up correctly. Have read about the card needing synching with the car?

Anyone had a similar experience?

Have seen this loads of times in the past but is a bit more hit and miss to fix when you havent got diagnostic gear. If one of the optical sensors fail it usually knocks out the whole side. At the dealership you can see from either the fault code logged or by checking the read out from what the sensors are seeing. So i would say that the front is usually the most used and change that one first. Or book with a dealer for a plug in.
