Vauxhall Corsa C - Cam shaft - clarehutch

My brothers Corsa C 05 plate 34,000 miles has just snapped a cam shaft. Hes wondering if the inlet and exhaust cams are the same ? Also if the 1.2 and 1.4 cams are the same ? Any advice would be great thanks

You could be lucky here.Vauxhall have identified a problem with camshaft problems on Corsa models of this era and are doing an extended warranty to cover the cost.Give your local dealer a call.Btw ,the inlet and exhaust cams are different.hth

My brother bought his car 6 months ago on a private sale. The car has been running like a dream until yesterday. Just started making noises, firing off of 2 cylinders and the engine management light came on. He couldn't take it back to a dealer. Hes gutted if he knew this was going happen he would never have bought it. Is the 1.2 and 1.4 cams the same then, or are they different too ?
