I have some sympathy as i expect the OP got the car at around 19K on their original order?
My nearest dealer has 2 brand spankers (with no packs) different colours at 22K+. Thats a 3K swing in vehicle price (or depreciation as it rolled off the forecourt covered?)
Have you looked at nearly new?
There is a 60 plate sirius silver with the media pack on hyundaiapproved for 20.5K (with 850 miles on the clock).
I imagine it was their demo car.
In essence it is the car you want with media pack on top (at the price i'd have expected new with media - pre november price rise + VAT rise).
Isn't great but you'd have the car at not much more than i expect you were going to spend (or did you get some stellar finance deal maybe?)
As for other vehicles of the type.
Qashqai's and Yeti's have fairly crufty lead times (diesel) as do the ASX (although Hyundai do seem to be extracting the ! in your case).
The sportage struggled to the 850 First edition out on time so i expect they have the same problems also with regards to that 2 litre engine availability.
If it was me (unless you did some sort of stellar deal) i'd go nearly new and move on with my life.
