Fiat Punto 1.2 '51 - Indicator Delay - cotton

Hi,

I'm having a problem with the Girlfriend's punto. When I indicate either left or right there is a 2-4 sec delay, and when it does start it sometimes seems to start half way through a 'click'. If that makes sense! There's no pattern to the flashing to indicate a bulb gone, but that was where I was going to start. Am I wasting my time swapping bulbs? Could it be the indicator relay?

looks like your heading in the right direction by looking at the relay, these are not normally expensive to replace. Might also be the switch on the indicator stalk, does it feel any different to operate. If is starts after 2-4 seconds might point towards a loose connection so when a bit of current flows makes a better connection. Good luck

I'll locate the indicator relay and unplug, then replug and test. If still no joy I'll replace.
