Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec 5 door - Tyre Choice - willow

Hi all.

Looking for some advice on tyres, namely a replacement for my "hopeless in the snow" Dunlop SP Fast Rresponse (195/60/R15/88V) The snow thing I find having done some research on the net is common with this tyres - hopeless grip!

Suggestions please: I am looking for comfort, handling and a safer tyre in the snow and ice.

Hello willow.

I have Michelin tyres on our Focus only six months plenty of tread.

If i was looking for new tyres it would be the Vredestein Wintrac all season tyres.Good reports from people who use them through the season and reasonably priced.

Hi,

Lots of good winter tyre buying advice on tyrereviews at the moment. I would go with the Conti 830P's.

One thing to think about with winter tyres is the dry and wet performance. Any winter tyre will out perform a summer tyre on snow, but cheap winter tyres can be poor on dry / wet roads which is where we spent most of our winters!
