How many miles per gallon do all you VR6 drivers get on average?

I wouldn't like to say! I have never really wanted to do a real test on my VR6 as I will be too shocked. But on my three years experience of driving one, I would say around 20mpg. Drops considerably when I am in a rush!

I don't understand why a VR6 owner is concerned about economy. If you drove it like a 1.4 Golf, you'd get reasonable fuel economy, but you wouldn't drive it like that would you? If you want the best compromise, ie power on demand with economy when driven lightly, then a turbo is the only answer. Big engines need big wallets, even in small cars!

More pots = more petrol I guess, tho at least the VR6 doesn't have 24 valves which counts in its favour. If people are getting over 30 mpg that sounds pretty good for a 170+ bhp V6 motor at any speed ;-)
