I like the look of the new model and it seems good value. Can anyone here offer some opinions or advice?

Thanks

Pat

i have the c3 picasso which i believe has the same floorplan and running gear and i really like it.

good supple ride and good 1.6hdi engine. not a ball of fire but quick enough.

mines well put together and having 20.000 miles and still looks like new

Thanks for the reply, 1066. We has a C4 Picasso in Spain this summer and it was pretty good.

This would be for wife, and I'm thinking about the 1.4 75ps petrol engine with VTR+ trim. Not much of a choice of colours though!

Decent cars, set up for ride comfort over sportiness, not the most plush interiors but keen pricing reflects that - no particularly nasty reliability issues.

The C3 won't set you hair on fire, but its a perfectly good car.

Cheers, Steve. We saw one today in Stow on the Wold, and it looked great but not in the lurid citrus green metallic! She's currently got our 10 year-old A4 diesel so I'm just a bit concerned about too big a drop in build quality and performance! I'm just thinking about something reasonable for the next 3-5 years that about £10k.

if i was to buy another i'd stick with the 90hp deisel engine. ive driven the 1.4 petrol and i found it very slow.

a friend has the 1.4 petrol and my deisel is much more economical. i cant get less than 42mpg in town and at 70mph it easily does 50+mpg

just to add my c3 picasso is the citrus yellow/green colour and looks great when polished with the sun shining on it.

oops! It just goes to show, one man's meat etc (ref colour).

The C3 Pic in VTR+ trim level is the one to go for, but for some the more powerful (and much better IMO) 110 HDi engine is only available as an Exclusive, which is over-priced (despite discounts).

Highly recommend them, I have a C3 Picasso Exclusive with the 1.6Hdi engine, it has just covered 18000 km's in 11 months, I regularly achieve 58mpg with mixed motoring here in Spain. This is true mixed motoring since we live in the hills (locals call them mountains!) and do not drive on the flat all the time. Build quality is excellent to date with no problems, my one criticism is the 17" wheels with low profile tyres that make speed humps a trifle hard, but I could not get the 110 engine here with the smaller wheels. The dealers here are imaginative, offering both trade in and scrappage to seal the deal. My one concern is the FAP system, but to date no problems.
