Vauxhall Vectra C - engine problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - petermcs

1.8 petrol eco tech engine, had mass air flow meter replaced and oxi senser, car ran fine for about 25 miles, then started to jump then cut out not won't start at all. put new plugs and coil pack in still nothing.

ANY ADVICE APPRICIATED!!!!!!!!

Have you tested the fuel pump?

What checks have you done, is there and spark or injection at all? Sounds possibly like a crank or cam sensor failure.

Also if you unplug the new AFM it will rule that out as a fault, it should switch to a get home mode and start if thats at fault. Usually faulty air flow meter's restrict the revving on the ecotech

i have renewed the petrol filter new coil pk new plugs mass flow meter carbon cencer petrol pump ok took it to a garage said it was coming up fault on mass flow and carbon cencer got them dun started a little slugish but picked up and was lovly and smooth then chug dead .tryed jumping it , it turns but its not even tryjng it sounds like its not even fireing

It sounds like crank/cam sensor related issue. It needs going on a diag tool and checking for data at cranking to see if its producing a signal.
have you fitted champion plugs ? sometimes the r plugs create a lot of noise and knock the sensor signals out if the shielding is weak.
Air mass faultr will flag up on a vectra if they keep stalling or cutting out or too much interference from plugs!!
