I have got a problem with my 2004 Focus C-Max 2.0TDCi.
When the air temperature (not engine temperature!) is cold the engine management warning light comes on. It is pretty consistent on cold days. The car seems to run fine (although it has a very tappety idle and it is a bit misfiry around 1,000 rpm - but then it is normally). The light does not go off during driving.
I am guessing that there is a sensor malfunction somewhere and that it isn't very close to the engine - otherwise the engine heat would warm up whatever part has the issue.
Has anybody an idea what could be the issue?
