Ford Focus 1.8 LX - Year 2000 - Factory fitted options - focuson

Does anyone know or can anyone point me in the right direction to find out if a Focus described above which normally has wheel trims could have been specified when new with Ford's Alloy wheels?

Mine has got the alloys that can be seen on the Zetec model of the same age ( 5 x 2 spokes with centre caps). I've seen a few other LX Focus' with the same alloys as mine but I know that nearly all had just wheel trims.

Any advice would be very welcome please

You can get anything if you are prepared to pay, they were probably fitted as a freebie or on request or its a garage promotion.I do not see what the problem is.

Thanks Andy.

I agree. It's not like these are after market types that look 'wrong'

Has anyone got an original sales brochure for the Mk 1 Focus launched in 1998?

Somewhere in it there should be a list of standard equiment and the options that were also available.

If you have one can you check the options list and see if 15 inch alloy wheels were optional for the 1.8 LX version and let me know.

Many thanks

I've just checked my old Mk1 Focus brochure and the 15" alloy wheels found on the Zetec were not a listed option for the LX.

That doesn't mean a garage couldn't have fitted them as a special request though, as mentioned above.

If you read around on the Focus forums, you'll find that many CL and LX owners upgrade their steel wheels to Zetec alloys at a later date.
