Mégane 2003 1.9DCI - Check Injection ! - bigstring

Got my self a Mégane 2003 1.9DCI, and it has started playing up, yes it's french....

Takes for ever to start with the push button, sounds like a hair dryier for a few seconds and nothing, after a few attempts she fires up, some times up to 10 times...

So far.......

Changed the Glow Plugs this morning, that was a pain in the a***, 22k they've done, ouch!!! well done previous owner!!!

Thought they would never come out, so half a can later (wd40) and there out, new ones in, and starts first time, Beautiful!

After being out on the road and my 3rd stop it's back and took 11 goes to get it going again (start button)........ any suggestions peeps?

Coming from the Jap and a few VAG's does any one here have a diagnostics machine, or anything downloadable? for the laptop? <*** title="Confused" src="http://www.meganeownersclub.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/icon2_confused.gif" alt=":conf" /> in the south west or any other advise?

Self destructing turbo is probably self destructing... Or one of the many electronic sensors is not working.

The chances of our diagnosing it remotely are low as so much can and does go wrong with the electronics or diesel...POC.

Give it back to the dealer and get your money back...

Returning the car as madf says will do wonders for your sanity.

But if you must go down the repair route then as madf says turbo is the first place to look then the egr,temp sensors ,injectors,or it could could be just a split or loose pipe these engines are a law unto themselves.If people must buy old renaults then the petrol versions are much cheaper to buy and the extra fuel they may use is soon payed back.

I would return it but it was a private sale..... Some I'm stuck with it!!

Anyway, the Check Injection message has gone, after 500ml of Injection cleaner, and 4 glow plugs, but still have trouble starting?

Just sounds like a hoover??
