Vauxhall Insignia - Insignia Jumps Back Into Reverse - Robbo298

Recently I've been having an intermittent problem between reverse and first gear. When going from reverse to first gear, the car sometimes sticks in reverse, even though it clearly clicks out of reverse gear.

Sometimes it doesn't even have to be in reverse to do it. I was waiting at the lights; went from neutral to first and nearly crunched the car behind me. It can also be a pain sometimes to get into first when changing down.

Insignia SE 160 2009 ~ 23k miles

Anyone got any ideas or had similar problems?

Here in Germany most main agents have run out of courtesy cars with the number of Insignia automatics waiting to be repaired I think they will win the Autobild golden carrot award this year.As far as this particular car is concerned you need to take it back to Vauxall post haste it is not unusual for the gearbox to suddenly jump into reverse when travelling at rather a quick speed forward causing untold damage.
