Mazda 6 - Demonstrator, What discount to expect? - harrogate big vern

Any advice. Local garage has a 2.2d TS2 that has been used as a demonstrator. Three months old. List price £20900, What Car target price £19060.

The dealer has quoted £17999. Several brokers have them at under £17000 brand new. Drive the deal has it at £16600, including £1000 discount for using Mazda finance.

What should I offer? What can I realistically expect to get it for?

Any advice from more seasoned buyers gratefully received.

For a 3 month old demo driven by God knows who for 3 months and bearing in mind you can buy NEW for £16.6k I wouldn't bid more than £15.6k for it.

I know the dealer won't go anywhere near this so I would just buy new.

Go in with your information, tell him you want the car if you can agree a price, see how far he will move, walk if he won't move far enough.

It is also now an OLD car (10 reg and not a 60 reg as a bnew one would be).
