Mazda 2 - Dull after using Farecla G10. How to rectify? - Bunny Rabbit

I used Farecla G10 to remove light scratches of my black Mazda. The paintwork ended up with dull surface. Is there any bodyshop specialist can advise me how to rectify it, bringing the paintwork back to shinny, matching the rest of the panel surface? Many many thanks!

I take it you have polished it afterwards with something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish? The Faracla is just a cutting agent to skim off the top layer of the paint. If not then you need to polish the paint afterwards. You could try a finer cutting paint restorer such as Autoglym Paint Renovator followed by the car polish of your choice.

Actually it does not touch the paint it takes a lair of the laquer away if you have been a bit aggresive and removed all the laquer which makes it shine and you are down to the actual paint then a laquer respray is the only thing that will restore the shine.More than likely it just needs a good polish up as described above by Victorbox.

This assumes it is a clear coat finish of course. Two of our three cars are just normal single colour finish so you end up with a nicely coloured buffing cloth.

Didn't use anything after Farecla G10 as this was the first time I used G10. Nothing shown on the G10 bottle let me think that I need to use other polishing product afterwards. Thanks for the advice. Used wax to buff the area again and it looks fine now.
