woke up this morning had very big puddle in passenger foot well, any ideas please ? thanks in advance

Moved to Technical, where I hope you'll get some helpful comments.

If it 's a sudden big puddle, with no dampness before that, it's possible that something has come adrift in the heater/aircon system; but obviously check windscreen and front window seals as well.

There was a lot of very heavy rain the night before you posted (down south anyway) so maybe it's just a blocked drainage hole somewhere.

It should be pretty obvious from the smell if it's rain water or coolant from a broken hose.

the scuttle will be full up lift the bonnet, just below the windscreen you will see a flap in the panel, remove the weather strip lift the flap and if you look down and into the hole you will see the pollen filter and hopefully some water the scuttle drain is in the far corner passenger side, rubber glove time and get your hand down there and shift the twigs and leaves be aware that the only way for the water to get into the car is via the heatermotor and it dont do it any favours so you may have problems with it later, Regards TB
