Nissan Primera III - Airbag light on constantly - RevJack

Problem on a '00 1.6 Primera. The airbag light is generally on - goes off occasionally but on most of the time. Is it likely to be the sensor under the seat? What else could it possibly be / what possible solutions are there that wouldn't cost the earth?

I was plagued with a faulty underseat sensor on the passenger side a n absolute sod to get at to replace.
