Can anyone tell me please how to protect a folder with a password, instead of protecting each file in the folder separately? Or tell me a website as useful as this one but specialisng in computers?

If you put the files in a password protected ZIP file that might solve your problem. You cannot password protect folders on Windows.

You cannot password protect folders on Windows.

Bit of a bold unsupported claim, methinks.

You can password protect a shared folder etc. Protecting a local folder on the other hand is different. I suppose it depends what the OP is asking.

Encrypting folders is great and supported in XP BTW. But not for shared files with any one other than an admin account.

Simply using WINZIP and password protected (and encrypted folders) may be all that is required.

May be worth asking the question on a more computer related forum though. Not many answer on here at the moment.
