Strange appartion in e-mail inbox

Strange appartion in e-mail inbox - Tommk4
Hi there, Occasionally when I log into my e-mail and go to inbox a weird picture, which is a rectangle with a neon blue line through it, appears in the middle of my screen, partially obscuring my inbox. It then disappears as soon as I click the mouse on anything or scroll the screen...It's totally confusing me, and whats more confusing is that it doe'snt appear every time I log in...Anybody know what this is/means/does?

What e-mail provider, are you accessing using internet explorer, a bit more information would be really useful.

Its hotmail and firefox rather than IE. Oh and the free AVG antifungal....anything else?
