V plateFiesta - Retrofit power steering - manofscrow

Ma is getting a bit older now and her much loved Fiesta 1.3 ohv has not got power steering and she's not ready for a change of motor ! Have donor motor R reg 1.3 ohv in local breaker with what appears to be all the bits, change of pulleys, perhaps alternator but will the power rack match up to our steering column ? Has anybody any knowledge on such a job please ?

It should be possible but it will probably have a different auxilluary belt arrangment so you will need all the bits. I did this succesfully with a P100 pick up, the donor car being a Sierra.

I think that you will find the Track control arms are different for PS models.

What the difference is I do not know.
