All - Helicoil sets - Gregory II

I am looking to rethread a spark plug thread, but which helicoil is recommended. Please let me know with details of where to purchase one; Does anyone have any recommendations regarding this?

Thanks

Greg

It would be quicker(and probably cheaper) to get a local engineering firm to do it.They'll already have the parts & equipment.

Greg, If it`s a one off and you are not a Mech - it`s probably best to let a good garage - (who has lot`s of experience with the tool) do it.

I was charged £13 around 6 yrs ago.

I have some mechanical skills and I would ultimately like to carry this out myself. I have used such tools before. Which ones are regarded as decent ones for the home mechanic?

Try these but I think it will cost more for the tool than to have it done (maybe)but its an interesting way to spend a few hours.

Interesting few hours Andy ? especially if the inserting tang drops in. I used to use the Heli coils extensively before I retired & I believe they are stainless steel & so non magnetic

Leave it to the Professionals is my opinion for what itsworth.
