03 plate laguna 1.8 dynamique screeching noise. can u help it sounds like if you keep turning the ignition key after the car has started you get that screeching sound but its a key card and i get that noise when i accelarate. many thanx

Hi,

the noise you describe is most likely the alternator belt. If you rev it up with the bonnet open and throw some water over the belt (be prepared to get wet). If it stops screetching then it either needs tightening or if its perished, replacing.

it only happens when the car is moving and not when car is parked and reved up
